Photo Album
On your Photo Albums tab, click the Edit Configuration shortcut for the album that you would like configure. On the photo album's Configure tab, you can you can set the preferences for the album.
After changing a setting, click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page to apply the new settings to your album. Your configuration changes will be saved, and your photo album will be republished.
Basics
- Name of photo album (required)
- Enter the name of your photo album. The album name shows as the banner on your album pages and in Friendster Blog's Recently Updated directories (if you choose to make your photo album public). Your photo album name can be changed at any time.
- Description/Introduction (optional)
- Enter a description or introduction paragraph for your album. You can use HTML in this field.
- Use a cover image/photo
- Choose a file to display a special graphic or photo on your album’s cover page. This only applies if you are using the “Photo and introduction” cover for your album. See Customizing Your Album Layout for setting your photo album cover page.
- Make this photo album public
- If you choose to make this photo album public, it will appear in your weblog’s sidebar if you turn on the option to display links to photo albums. It will also appear in TypePad’s Recently Updated directories.
Advanced configuration
Your Photo Album Cover Page
- Number of columns to display thumbnails
- If you have selected the “Thumbnails only” option for your photo album cover page, you can set the number of columns to display the thumbnails for the grid display on your cover page. See Customizing Your Album Layout for setting your photo album cover page.
- Thumbnail size
- This is the size of your thumbnail images.
- Crop thumbnails into uniform dimensions (square)
- Set whether to crop thumbnails or not.
- Date format
- Set the Date format for your cover page.
- Display order
- Set the display order: Date taken ascending or descending, or Title ascending.
- Use the Display order setting to change the order of the photos in your album. The order can be changed at any time.
Your Photo Pages
- Photo size
- Your photos are sized when you upload them, to the size you have selected for the photo size of your photo pages.
- Photos are scaled if the width of the image is larger than the photo size selected. The three sizes are Small (350 pixels), Medium (500 pixels), and Large (640 pixels). The scaling applies only to the width of the photo, not the height.
- Date format
- Set the Date format for your photo pages.
Photo Management
These options apply to the Friendster Blog photo album management tool and do not reflect options that will be visible on your public pages.
On the photo record page for managing a photo, you can choose to display the following fields:
- Photo title
- Photo caption
- Location
- Date taken
- Date uploaded
- EXIF data
