You can use a Link TypeList to display HTML code, plain text (such as a welcome message, copyright notice, or disclaimer) or images in your sidebar.
See Adding a New Item to a TypeList.
To display HTML code (such as for a webring, Google ads, or other weblog add-ons), copy and paste the code into the Notes field of the TypeList item. Leave the other fields blank, and save the item.
To display text, type the text into the Notes field of the TypeList item. Leave the other fields blank, and save the item.
To display an image, you will first need to upload the image and create the HTML code to display the image. You can upload the image by using the file manager on the Control Panel > Files page. (The File Manager is only available to paid members of Friendster Blogs.) After uploading the image, click on the image filename. This will load the image in your browser. The browser's address bar will show the URL for the image, such as http://example.blogs.friendster.com/image.jpg . You will use this URL to create the HTML code. Your HTML code should look like the following:
<img src="http://example.blogs.friendster.com.com/image.jpg" />
Replace http://example.blogs.friendster.com/image.jpg with the URL that you obtained previously. Now, copy and paste this HTML code into the Notes field of the TypeList item. Leave the other fields blank, and save the item.
Go to the Configure tab for your TypeList and set the list to “Display notes: As text” (see Configuring Your TypeList).
Your HTML code, text, or image will now display in your sidebar.
You can add a TypeList to your Friendster Blog sidebar by setting the template for the weblog to display the TypeList.
If you do not have any TypeLists yet, you can add one by Creating a New TypeList.
On your Blogs tab, click the Edit Design shortcut for the weblog where you would like to display a TypeList. Then, click the Content link for your currently selected template set to enter the template Content area.
On the Content page, under the “Your TypeLists” heading, click the checkbox or checkboxes next to TypeList(s) you would like to display on the blog.
Press the button and Your TypeLists will now appear in your blog sidebar, and any new items that you add will automatically appear there as well.
TypeLists are added to a blog advanced template using the TypeList Tags (advanced templates do not have a Content link on the Design tab). Advanced templates are available to Pro users only.
